New Improvements to Sense360 Data Sets

Over the past week, we have launched a massive effort to keep the industry apprised of the shifts in consumer behavior resulting from COVID-19. We consider it our obligation to use our diverse and flexible data sets in order to help the industry navigate these dramatic shifts. In order to provide you with the best, most up-to-date view of this dynamic situation, we are making the following changes to our data:
Delivery/Transaction Data is now available faster than ever. Today, we are excited to announce that we are reducing the lag-time in our transaction data to an industry-leading 10 days. With the rapid shift to digital purchases via third-party delivery that is taking place due to COVID-19, it is more important than ever to understand the new digital landscape as close to real-time as possible. This will also provide faster insight into how check sizes, customer switching, and loyalty are all being affected.
Visitation Data with a broader, cross-channel view. With the temporary ban on dine-in restaurant visits that is likely to impact the entire country, the increase in take-out/drive-thru, and the massive influx of purchases at grocers, we are expanding the view of our foot traffic data to help you track cross-channel trends nationally and at the local level. This will help us use early coronavirus hot-spot markets as a predictor of what is to come elsewhere, as well as better navigate the new landscape in order to prioritize your efforts where you can actually still win.
Daily Survey results on consumer food decisions. In addition to our quarterly Brand Perception surveys, our partners will now receive a Daily Food Diary survey report which dives into consumer sourcing of food, drivers, unmet needs, and occasion tracking by daypart in order to help prioritize your efforts. This survey will help answer questions like: What hours should I remain open? What food should I be serving on a new limited menu? How can I win with delivery?
